This was a day we expected to be simply a travel day. After all, we did rack up 227 miles from 7am to 6pm. However that time consisted of stops along the way that simply had to be done. This Jackson WY to Gardiner MT trip revealed a splendor of seemingly different climates and worlds. Jackson was green with snow capped mountains. Yellowstone entranceway beheld 4 foot snow backs and we wondered OMG!! did we arrive to early in the season. Soon after we passed the ancient volcanic caldera area we began to find greener pastures and much less snow. The scenery and wildlife was amazing. We saw but didn't capture a Bear, Elk, Fox, Bison, Pronghorn, Sandhill Cranes and small game today. The landscapes were just unbelievable. A fabulous day for a travel day!
Enjoy these. Link to todays photos
